i wonder

i wonder if everybody
around the world
at some point in their lives
says

i can't just be mediocre.

something has got to be special.
certainly i know someone.
or maybe i will someday.
someone special. someone important.
or maybe i'll be someone.
someone special. someone important.
maybe i'll do something.
something special. something important.
maybe i'll see something.
something special. something important.

and if everyone says that
they just can't be mediocre.
i wonder if everybody
realizes that they're wrong.
and they are absolutely mediocre.

i wonder if it hurts.
